AIRBADMINTON NAME POLICY
AirBadminton is the new outdoor badminton game developed by the Badminton World Federation (“BWF”). AirBadminton is a concept that brings to life a fun, new inclusive outdoor game for everyone, designed to inspire people of all ages and ability to play badminton anywhere and anytime around the world using the AirShuttle.
AirBadminton will provide an economic and sustainable way of encouraging more people to play more badminton in more places. Badminton is a true sport for all and we believe AirBadminton will assist us in promoting the sport in more countries and to more people.
In order to increase awareness of the AirBadminton project, the BWF has put in place a website (www.airbadminton.sport) and social media accounts. The content featured or displayed on these platforms, including text, images, and videos, is owned by the BWF and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws relating to intellectual property right.
“AirBadminton” is a mark registered by the BWF in a number of countries. Any reference to AirBadminton in this document also includes its variations and translations, for example “air-badminton”, “airbadmintonsport”, “airbulutangkis” etc.
Except as permitted by law, “AirBadminton” may not be used without prior written permission from the BWF.
This policy sets out the BWF’s guidelines in granting such permission.
The BWF welcomes any form of promotion for the AirBadminton game. As such, third parties are welcome to talk about the game and publish their own content on any media.
Unless this is factually the case, third parties should however not publish information in a way that suggests an association or a partnership with the BWF.
