In order for badminton to not only grow but also prosper, it is important that both the BWF and the national federations that make up its membership have clear governance structures in place.  Such structures are key in achieving the transparencyaccountability and responsibility that will result in careful planning and budgeting processes, along with the necessary follow-up measures to achieve long-term results.

The BWF is committed to helping national federations develop their administrative personnel as part of its ongoing efforts to support the growth of badminton on a worldwide level.  Resources available for national federation administrators include:

Introductory National Administrators' Course (Online)

aimed at federations and associations looking to develop the sport in their area

  • Face-to-Face National Administrators’ Course (CC-delivered) – aimed at individuals who perform an administrative function in their federation or association
  • National Administrators’ Pathway (needs-based) – designed for active administrators from member associations or federations, as identified in the face-to-face programme, including some or all of the following:
  1. Player Pathway Programme (PPP) – short course aimed at building a systematic approach to talent identificatio and athlete development
  2. Sports Federation Management Programme (SFMP) – short course addressing core strategic and operational areas for administrators
  3.  Postgraduate Certificate (PGC) – aimed at high-performing administrators from national federations, Continental Confederations and the BWF
